Basic Map & Compass Use:

Come join us at Blackstone Valley Outfitters for a basic map and compass clinic. This in store clinic will cover the following information of map & Compass use.

• Topographic Map Reading
• How to use a compass
• Plotting a course on a topographic map
• Using a compass to triangulate your location on a map.

Person Equipment: Compass, Pen & ruler

Time: Approx. 2 hours

Orienteering Course:

Stop by the store and test your compass proficiency. An orienteering course will be set for your enjoyment. Check in at the store, obtain your course and compete for the best time. Time slots of 1-½ hours will be set up so pre-registration is required.
