Guided Kayak Trips on the Blackstone River:
The price of the tour includes kayak rental, PFD, paddle and guide. When you sign up for a trip with Blackstone Valley Outfitters you will receive a list of personal gear you should bring with you. On the day of departure you will receive an orientation on kayak paddling and water safety. Depending on the group size you will have from 1 to 2 guides. Your guide will carry on his or her kayak a group first aid kit, throw bag and bilge pump for you safety. All paddlers are required to wear PFD’s for your own safety.
Three-Hour Tour:

Day Tour:
Cost: Adults $60.00 Ages 10-16 $40.00
Pond Exploration Tour:

Blackstone Valley Outfitters currently runs
3 types of guided kayak tours along the Blackstone River.
The tours are geared for the recreational kayaker with
small areas of easy white water. Our guide boats are
Heritage Kayaks that are 38 to 42 lbs and 9.5’ to 14’
long. They hold up to 300lbs in weight. 
We run a three-hour tour on most
weekdays and weekends from the end of April to the end of
November each year. The paddling trip may very in
location along the river depending on water level and the
group. Depending on the trip location, you could have
none to three portages were you would have to help carry
boats and gear. During your paddle you will receive
paddling instruction, a narration of historic information
along with information on local wildlife and vegetation. 
On Saturday’s we will be
running a day trip that starts at River Place Park in
Woonsocket, RI and travel down stream returning to the
store. During your voyage there will be four portages
were you will have to help carry boats and gear. At Kelly
Island in Lincoln, RI we will stop for lunch and a tour
of the Kelly House Museum. After your meal we will return
to the Blackstone River and paddle back to BVO. During
your paddle you will receive paddling instruction, a
narration of historic information along with information
on local wildlife and vegetation. 
Great for
the beginners, school and scout programs, our Pond
Exploration Tour will take you to a variety ponds and
lakes in Rhode Island. During our outing we will cover
water safety, paddling skills and explore the shoreline
and islands of the waterways we’re at that day. 
Blackstone Valley Outfitters
currently runs day hikes throughout New England. Join our
experienced staff on one of their favorite treks. During
our hikes we will go over warm ups, gear use, trail food,
and vegetation/wildlife identification. So if your into
waterfalls, running brooks, woods, and panoramic views
come with us on one of our planned treks or book your own
group outing and see what’s in your our backyard. 
Join our
staff and ride along the Blackstone River Bike
Path for a fun group cycling excursion. We'll meet
at the store for 6:00 am.
